Rel12.1 Cannot open Concurrent Requests Outputs or non-Java web pages with Google Chrome

NancyR_BravoApr 22 2022

Hello, with the imminent retirement of Microsoft Internet Explorer (MIE), any clients still using Oracle EBS Rel12 will be forced to use another web browser. Be it MS Edge or Google Chrome. Problem is there are known incompatibilities between EBS Rel12 and Edge and Chrome. Such as:

  1. from within a Java form window, not able to open concurrent requests output of log files.
  2. from within a Java form window, not able to perform the function of exporting data down to Excel.
  3. from within a Java form window, not able to open / launch an application standard web based form, such as Payables Disbursement Dashboard, Payables Disbursement Manager (Oracle Applications - Accounts Payable)
  4. Cannot download concurrent program output to Excel or PDF output to Adobe, or RTF.

Please take note: I already have an SR opened. We have installed all the patches to a test instance for Rel 12.1.3 according to Doc ID 2777209.1 which then sends you to Doc ID 2188898.1 Using Java Web Start with Oracle E-Business Suite.
Again ... we have already applied the patches according to Doc ID 2188898.1 Using Java Web Start with Oracle E-Business Suite.
After applying the patches, those 4 issues listed above were resolved in MS Edge. But none of those issues were resolved with Google Chrome. To be clear, the Java applet forms do open in Chrome. It is only those 4 issues listed above which do not work. This has to be a very common issue amongst many Rel12 customers.
My question is: How are Oracle EBS Rel12 customers using Google Chrome fixing these incompatibilities specifically Google Chrome? Besides the patches, is there post patch desktop (browser) configuration required? How do we fix it so that EBS Rel12 works 100% in Chrome?

Thanks,
Nancy
