Reinstall Oracle Database preserving data

webluca2Sep 19 2017 — edited Sep 20 2017

Hello,

I need your help to reinstall Oracle Database preserving data. I have a DB that is not working since some service is missing (don't ask me how it happens... someone tried to install something and made a mess...).

At the moment the best solution is to uninstall the db and install again from the scratch.

I have now the following folder structure (dbname is RO9):

c:/oracle/admin/RO9

c:/oracle/oradata/RO9

c:/oracle/checkpoints

c:/oracle/product

c:/oracle/audit/RO9

c:/oracle/cfgtoollogs

c:/oracle/diag

My idea is to backup c:/oracle in a different folder, uninstall oracle removing the home and all oracle folder and reinstall oracle. Then I can restore the folder but I don't know hot to proceed.

Can you please help me? Is there a better way to restore the db?

Thanks for any help.

Notes: Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard - Oracle 12
