Registry error on Win2K + Citrix XP
437005Jan 24 2005 — edited Mar 12 2007I've tried installing Oracle Discoverer version 3.46, 4.1.37 and 9.0.2 on a Win2Ksp4 server with Citrix MetaFrame XP 1.0, but when users launch Discoverer through Citrix, they always get the following error:
Failed to update the system registry.
Please try using REGEDIT.
They click [OK] and are able to continue without problems. I do not get this error, but then again, I have administrator priviliges, so it's clear that Discoverer tries to read or write a registry key it hasn't got access to in the user session.
The server is running in Windows 2000 Permission Compatibilty mode.
Any clue what registry key Discoverer is trying to access, and if I can resolve this by creating it manually or allowing access to it for Domain Users?
Is there a Discoverer version that does not exhibit this behaviour? (Win2K TS has been around for a while now, you know)
