Regarding Oracle Discoverer installation?

Hi,
I am having the server with Windows 2003 and Oracle 11.1.0.7.0 database. Can I install oracle discoverer in the client system and connect to that database and generate reports.Is it possible?
Presently I can connect to the DB server using tnsnames.ora and extract reports and dump in excel file for the users.
Please suggest me regarding this issue.
If any details please get back.
Is it mandatory having E-Business Suite for Oracle Discoverer?
