reg live video on internet

hi all,
- i need to broadcast (stream, or any terms!!) the live video from my system (a pc with internet connection) to internet.
- camera--->encoder--->switch--->mysystem is my environment. who ever types my system address
(ex: http://ram.com:8080) should be able to see my camera's live stream in their browser.
- what ARE ALL i need to learn, use , implement (in Java)
- please help with required links, any open source servers to stream this, java APIs to use, etc
