Refresh of Package objects

I compile my scripts from SQL*Plus and debug them from SQL Developer. But when ever I make changes to code from SQL*Plus compilation, I need to jump through hoops to get the changes reflected in the SQL Developer. The refresh button is totally useless. Even restart of SQL Developer does not solve the problem always. Isn't the purpose of the Refresh button to refresh the information from the database so that it is the latest?
