ref cursor vs NDS

user12075620Sep 26 2017 — edited Sep 27 2017

HI Experts,,

I am a novice programmer in PL/SQL and I am trying to understand the below dynamic sql concepts. I would appreciate if someone can shed some lights on this

Question 1:

what's the difference between

open for select ....

And

Open for 'select ...........  '   ( within quotes)

I hope both are dynamic queries and I could not think of any differences between the above 2 options

Question 2: How the dynamic sql ( execute immediate) differs from Open for ....?

I know the fact that ref cursors are used to return the result set

Thanks for your time .
