redo log switches fastly after bouncing RAC database

Hi there,

We have an 9i RAC database with two nodes. While shutting down there was no problem, but while bouncing up the redo log switch were very fast generaring one file per second..and the same time parallel processes p001 to p007 were running.

we have three groups of log members with two logfiles in each group with size 512 MB in each node.

i happened to found that oracle cannot allocate redo log and archival required.at last "smon :parallel transaction recovery tried" message were found.

what exactly happened?
