Redo generation and DML

Is there any way we could estimate the amount of redo generated for 1GB worth of INSERTs? I am not looking for redo or arch redo logs generated in a day.

We have some batch jobs running from 1:00 AM to 7:00 AM . Our apps team said that we'll have 6gb worth of Data inserted every hour during this period. So, I need to know how frequently I need to schedule archive log backup during this time. I don't want to be woken up at night due to DB outage because of ARCH dest full ;)

Current size of Archive log Disk group : 50 GB
Size of Redo log : 100 mb
