Redhat Homepage Connection Refused

Glen PalmerJan 26 2007 — edited Jan 30 2007
Hi All,

Sorry to create another post on this but i've searched through all the available documents and forums posts an nothing solves my problem.

The install of XE on Redhat was extremely smooth with no problems, the KDE environment has the program file shortcuts etc to start and stop the database.

The machine XE is installed on has the network configuration set as the following :-

linux.home.com - 192.168.2.100

I can successfully connect to the DB from a networked machine with SQL Developer.

I understand that XE via the homepage has to be enable to allow external HTTP access from other machines which i can't configure as the local server running XE will not allow the homepage to be displayed, all i get is the connection refused.

I'm sure the install and DB config is fine, personally i think it's an issue with the Redhat network environment.

Hope someone can help

Regards

Glen Palmer
