Red Hat 7.2 comes with java 1.1, ACK!

Ive downloaded the 1.4 J2SE for Red Hat.

But someone mentioned I need to unistall/remove my current JDK from my system before installing the new 1.4.

Someone in a chat mentioned using rpm -e to remove my current java version. Could someone elaborate on this?

btw- Red Hat 7.2 comes with Kaffe Virtual Machine
