Recovery Catalog Views - Retain more than 60 days

James G KSep 22 2016 — edited Nov 2 2016

Hi community,

Can anyone tell me if there's a way to manipulate the RMAN Recovery Catalog to retain more than 60 days worth of backup history it the views?

Example of views that only store 60 days:

RC_RMAN_STATUS

RC_RMAN_BACKUP_JOB_DETAILS

etc...

I report against the catalog to appease auditors who are interested in the state of our backups. The limited, 60 day history means having to query every 2 months instead of once a quarter for backup statuses. Updating to 90 or 120 days would be ideal if possible. BTW I have created a job that pulls new records daily and appends to a rotating log file, but auditors want to see evidence of direct queries. I'd prefer to always have at least 90 days or records so I can query on demand and pull the needed records for a quarter.

Thanks,
