Recovering a deleted object / tombstone?

pgrFrankFeb 26 2015 — edited Apr 9 2015

I've run into a situation where an object was mistakenly deleted from ODSEE 11~.7 LDAP.  I found the tombstoned object, and figure I could recreate the object by simply creating a new object with the information from the deleted object.

Is there another way to recover a tombstoned object?

Also, how can I find out how/who deleted the object?  The modifersname and timestamp show a modification done much earlier than the deletion of this object.   The delete wasn't found in my audit logs, most likely because the log rolled off.

I'm searching my retro changelog now.  - has anyone indexed targetdn?
