Recompile with -Xlint:deprecation, whaat is it?

Hi, all!
When I'm compiling a prgm, I get this note: Recompile with Xlint:deprecation for details.
buttons.java uses or overrides a deprecated API.
I don't know what is it, and what does it prompt me to do.
Your help is highly appreciated.
