Recommended library for running SQL against database from javascript/typescript code

Hi experts,

I'm creating a POC using MS Playwright in order to test Apex applications in RDBMS 12.2.

I'd like to be able to execute SQL directly from the javascript/typescript code I'm creating.

Code will run outside the database.

What is the recommended library for this?
