Hello Everyone,
We are currently in the initial planning phase of developing two new applications — the Catering Application and E-TAS (Employee Time and Attendance System) — and would like to seek guidance from the community on selecting the most suitable Visual Builder (VBCS) instance under our existing Oracle Cloud setup.
At present, we have the following VBCS/VBS options available across our environments:
SaaS VBS – No license cost required
OIC VBCS – Utilizes OIC license
PaaS VBS – License cost required
PaaS VBCS – License cost required
Application Overviews:
- Catering Application
Designed to manage catering operations and related workflows.
We would like to know which VBCS instance would be most appropriate for this use case, considering functionality, scalability, and licensing aspects.
- E-TAS (Employee Time and Attendance System)
Will retrieve master employee data from Oracle Fusion HCM.
Will receive Check-In/Check-Out transactional data from third-party systems via REST APIs into the Autonomous Database.
The system will calculate employee earning hours and create Element Entries in Oracle Fusion HCM for payroll processing.
Since both applications will integrate with Oracle Fusion and external systems, we’re looking for community insights or best practices on which VBCS instance (SaaS, OIC, or PaaS) would be best suited from both technical and licensing perspectives.
Any guidance, experiences, or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
