Dear,
I have Oracle 10.2.0.4 database that had grown enormously by 30 GB in 1 month. This growth is due to excessive table creation (full with data) done for a certain project. All this had led me into free space shortage on the DB server.
After checking the tablespaces, I found that some had reached 32 GB with 0% free segments. While other tablespaces are firing errors as they are not able to get any extends due for the lack of space on the server.
I had dropped plenty of those tables (that caused this growth) but still needs to reclaim free-spaces in TBS as well as on the file system (shrink dbf size).
Your help and guidance is highly appreciated
Regards,
