Reclaim disk space after uninstall

I had Oracle client ( I believe it was for 8i) on a windows XP machine and after uninstalling it I am unable to reclaim the disk space it occupied.

As I recall my uninstall went as follows: I 1st stopped all services and ran Oracle Universal Installer. It wouldn't uninstall because of dependencies so I then followed the manual uninstall instructions; removing all Oracle registry keys and deleting all files.

Is there any way to recover the hard disk space that Oracle was using?
