Rebooting Hyperion Servers

user829150Sep 29 2014 — edited Oct 27 2014

We have an Hyperion 11.1.2.3.500 environment that runs on Windows 2008R2 -64-bit except for Essbase Server running on Linux.

From previous experiences I had my clients reboot all Hyperion servers during the weekend to kick start the environments and avoid performance issues (HFM, IIS...).

On my current project my client does not believe in rebooting servers, they are OK with stopping/starting services.

I contacted Oracle support to get my hands on documents that recommends rebooting as part of the Hyperion maintenance schedule but according to them they don't exist.

I would like to know your recommendations in regards to rebooting and if you have any kind of documentations or links to provide me with some ammunition to convince my client to agree to reboot the servers on a regular schedule.

Cheers!
