Reasons DBAs use the SYS id

Hi everyone,

Had a quick question ... I was wondering, besides the initial installation, are there any other reasons for a DBA to login with the actual SYS id for 9i? (not looking to disable SYS, just want to know in what instances a DBA would need to use the SYS id rather than their own id). Thanks in advance for the help!
