Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit installation unsuccessful in EL 5

Dear all,
I've installed Enterprise Linux 5 in my notebook (local brand). It used Realtek as its ethernet card, unfortunately EL 5 didn't recognize it. So I download the driver and when I try to install in my EL 5 there's a problem. The syntax is using make method and refer to /lib/modules/(kernel version)/build. I've checked to that folder and found that build is not a file either a directory. So what should I do ?
FYI I'm also a newbie in Linux world but I want to test Oracle 10g running under EL 5. Please help me out. Thanks in advance.
