Read write on com serial port using Java prefer to use native 64 bit

I would like to use 64 bit tech through and through to read / write to a com port (serial).

I have found one solution using javax.comm but it appears to be 32 bit only.

Does anyone have a better suggestion or perhaps know where to find a 64 bit version of win32com.dll?
