read files from Directory on File Server

Hello Oracle community,

Server 11g1 on windows server 2008

I created a directory Import, the path is d:\Import. I have no problems to read a file from that directory using utl_file pack. But when I try to do the same with a network drive on my oracle server, it is not working. I can see that directory with OS Explorer, can open, change and create files. Any suggestions to solve the problem ?
