Re-instantiate OGG when DB refreshes

3350066Nov 21 2016 — edited Nov 23 2016

Hi Folks,

I have a question regarding OGG re-instantiate when source database got incremental refresh.

Environment:

Source DB: 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64bit on Solaris 10

Target DB: 11g Enterprise Edition Release 11.2.0.4.0 - 64bit on RHEL 6

OGG version is 11 g.

SourceĀ  DB got refresh every 15 days from prod instance using RMAN online clone. due to which OGG configured between source and target got interrupt and needs to be re-instantiate again.

Expdp and impdp of 4 TB data and rebuilding indexes is a time taking task to be done every 15 days. Any feature / SOP in OGG so that we can handle this DB refresh without re-instantiating OGG.

Thanks in advance

Sumit
