RAC on VMware and ip address

Can someone please help me on this:

I am installing a 2-node rac using virtual machines which have linux as the OS. On my windows xp machine hosting the virtual machines I have not got a Local Area Connection in the available networks because there is no network card/driver installed.
Therefore, when I issue ipconfig /all I only see the ip address for the 2 virtual machines and none for my windows (host) machine.

My question is:
Do I really need an ip address of/for the host machine as I am not connecting to the internet ?
