RAC Inter-node communication over private connect

Hi all,

I am on 11.2.0.4g on Unix platform and I have a 2nodeRAC.

In a recent audit, I am asked how does Oracle private-connect prevent Man in the middle attack

q1) does Oracle node to node communication (e.g. cachefusion) have any form of authentication ( is it done using orapwd file ?) -> Support told me no, can anyone confirm ?

q2) is Oracle internode communication encrypted ?
