RAC and cascading Standby DBs

I was very surprised to read the follwoing note in Data Guard Concepts and Administration 11g Release 1 (11.1) documentation.
Note:
You cannot set up a physical standby to forward redo if the primary database is part of an Oracle Real Application Clusters (RAC) environment or a Data Guard Broker environment.
Is this really true? I have set up a 3 node physical standby Db(only one node apply, and in case of switchover or failover, the other 2 nodes will get started) from a 3 node Primary db with Oracle 10gR2.
This configuration has been running since 01.2007. We even had a failover twice and it worked fine.
In April 2009 we want to setup a cascading logical standby from a physical standby for the purpose of Reporting. the logical standby will not be a RAC, just one Linux server.
This means that the physical standby databases primarily intended for disaster recovery purposes and receive redo data directly from the primary database, whereas the new logical standby as a second defence but more for reporting purposes.
please let me know, if the note above is mistakenly put in the documentation. As I cannot see why the physical standby will be unable to forward archived redodata to logical standby even if the primary is a RAC.
Many Thanks
