Questions re API access

Ihor VApr 13 2025

Workflow or API calls:

Hi, our team is investigating appropriate flow for FHIR API integration and have couple of questions:

  1. I found this article https://docs.oracle.com/en/industries/health/millennium-platform-apis/fhir-app-provisioning/?utm_source=chatgpt.com#cho-customers on how to get access to client's non-Prod and Prod envs. Wanted to confirm - for non-Prod code console is the same as for Prod case, when system account link is different. My assumption here is that I would need to register on code-console.sandboxcerner.com. Is that accurate?

  2. Are there any other requirements for the app apart from https://docs.oracle.com/en/industries/health/millennium-platform-apis/fhir-authorization-framework/#technical-requirements ?

  3. During app registration, I can see that I can choose resources access level freely. Can I choose all of them to cover potential cases when I will need new resource while adding new functionality? Or what would be the correct proccess for it?

  4. Will Cerner do any sort of validation of my apps before granting access to client's non-Prod and Prod env?

  5. As I investigated, it doesn't seems like that there is a subscription fee/fee per api call made/etc. So as 3rd party vendor, I should be able to access FHIR APIs without any charges, right?

Many thanks in advance!
