Question on reorg jobs.

Howdy all. When I want to reorganize an index, why do I not see it under the Scheduler Jobs tab? If I specify it to run at a later time, it just doesnt show up.

Also, is there a way I can see if an index needs to be reorged or not before I do it? Something like SQL Servers dbcc showContig?
