Question: Executing queries

Gunnar.OskJun 8 2012 — edited Oct 16 2012
Hello

This may be a stupid beginners question, but I'm gonna ask it anyway since Google wasn't able to answer it easily:
When executing queries in Oracle SQL Developer, what is the difference between "Execute Statement", "Run Script" and "Commit"? (and throw in "Rollback" also if you feel up to it)

Normally I just use F9 (execute), but someone told me I should rather use Run Script then Commit and i don't know the difference :)

Regards,
Gunnar
