I'm creating a proof-of-concept on a Development server and I've been following the guide for installing OAM and OID. I followed the Maximum Availability Architecture for Identity Management but I think I made a small error with respect to install order. I installed;
1. RCU
2. WEBLOGIC
3. OAM
4. ??? I'm currently in the process of attempting to install OID in the same domain as OAM. (I was hoping to have a single-domain (aka same domain) install, however, when I try to install OID, I run the OIM install (that contains Internet Directory) and it won't let me install and configure OID in an existing domain (the OAM domain.) It says it can't find a suitable IDM domain. I think I might have to install OID FIRST, then extend the domain to include OAM. (Is this correct? The install documents show OID/ODSM first, then OAM but I did not think it would matter?)
I'm trying to match all the versions to be 11GR1 11.1.1.7, where possible.
Lastly, I'm reading posts that suggest creating separate middleware homes for OAM and OID/OUD, is that really necessary?
Thanks in advance
Antony

Fixed some horrible typing, I need to write these things earlier in the morning when I'm less tired.
