We are planning our HCM 9.0 to 9.2 upgrade and are currently on HCM 9.0 with PeopleTools 8.54.07.
According to MOS Document 1552580.1, the Upgrade Source image that we are to use is HCM 9.0 to 9.2 Through Update Image 9 which is on PeopleTools 8.54.03 (a lower PeopleTools version).
In the Getting_Started_on_Your_PeopleSoft_Upgrade.pdf file, it says the following:
Note. If you are performing an application-only upgrade and your New Release Demo database is on the same PeopleSoft PeopleTools release but a different PeopleSoft PeopleTools patch level than your current production database, you must apply the PeopleSoft PeopleTools patch to the database that is at the lower patch level. Both databases must be at exactly the same PeopleSoft PeopleTools patch level prior to starting the application-only upgrade.
Does this mean that we would need to patch the Upgrade Source image from 8.54.03 to 8.54.07?
Also, we were looking to upgrade to PeopleTools 8.55. Is there a way to also incorporate an 8.55 upgrade in addition to the 9.2 application upgrade? Or will we have to perform the 8.55 upgrade as a separate step either before or after the application upgrade?
I'd appreciate any suggestions/recommendations as to how we could proceed from here.
