query record return to another application

Hello,

I have tables in Oracle 8i, running a front-end on Access 2000 on Windows XP. I've been making SQL pass-through queries which return records for my reports, but now I am interested in creating stored procedures in Oracle which I can call to return the records I need. Does anybody have any clues as to how I do that? Can you point me in the direction of some documentation about it?
