Que version debo instalar

We installed the j2sdk_1_4_1_02 solaris sparc[1].tar.Z in our Sun Sever with Solaris 8, but when we check In the Admintool Software only de J2SDK was updated to the version 1.4.1_02 but The package JavaVM has the version 1.0. My question is if we have to update the JavaVM version and if it�s necessary to do that what it is the correct version and where we can download it.
