Have an older server with an equally old QLogic 2312 HBA PCI card.
OL6.5 (3.8.13-118.29.1.el6uek.x86_64) worked fine with this HBA.
The upgrade to OL6.10 was successful. HBA worked fine to SAN. Applied the latest security and bug fixes for OL6.10 (updating kernel to 4.1.12-124.24.1.el6uek.x86_64). This installed the updated UEK with linux-firmware-20171128-56.git17e62881.0.2.el6.noarch and kernel-uek-firmware-4.1.12-124.24.1.el6uek.noarch, and removed packages like ql23xx-firmware.
And now the OL6.10 kernel gets stuck seconds after boot - displaying screen after screen of errors, before seeming to freeze. Nothing written for this boot to /var/log/messages - thus here is a screenshot of a portion of the first error screen from the remote ILOM console:

Only pointer I've found googling, is this thread: https://lists.centos.org/pipermail/centos-devel/2018-April/016647.html
Similar problem, referred to the upstream RHEL kernel team.
Am forced to boot the old OL6.5 kernel, as the OL6.10 kernel does not boot successfully.
Any ideas or suggestions as to how deal with this? Can the OL6.10 security and bug fix update be rolled back, in order to get OL6.10 to boot at least?
