Publishing operating systems images as a Linux distribution

User_M0XGTMay 29 2021

Hi!
I'm asking, as a representative of the NixOS Linux distribution, what is the best way the distribution can provide custom images to boot NixOS Linux on OCI instances.
I am a new users of OCI, created my account ~ 3 days ago, so bear with me if the terminology I use is wrong.
We are about to finish the integration of A1 instance image builds in our tooling. Though here the specific instance type I guess isn't relevant.
How can we, as a distribution, get in touch with the right people at Oracle to ensure we can provide the images for end-users. At a glance it seems unclear to me how we can make those images available so any user can use them.
Additionally, seeing the free tier does not include custom images (BYOI), how can our contributors ensure continued compatibility with OCI when they contribute changes to our tooling?
Thanks!
