Proxy Automatic Configuration to UNC path

OldguardMDNov 11 2013 — edited Nov 12 2013

We recently moved our Internet Explorer configuration to a Proxy Automatic configuration (PAC) file. Java is configured to use the Internet Explorer settings, but so far I can't get Java to work through the proxy using the PAC file configuration. I have tried going into the Control Panel applet for Java and configuring the PAC file there, but I am unsure what the format for the Script Location should be be.

If my path is \\domainName.FQDN\ShareName\FolderName\Filename.pac, what should the path be that I enter into the script location in the Java control panel applet?

System is Windows 7 with IE8 running 32 bit and 64 bit JRE version 1.7.0_45. PAC file has been tested with IE and Firefox, both of which work fine except for Java.
