Proper way to clean up OVS server

user897654321Mar 2 2012 — edited Apr 4 2012
Hi I have a OVS 3.0.3 server in a pool with 2 different FC devices attached to it. One of these has the cluster heartbeat and the other just physical disk storage that used to be presented to VM guests.

I have removed all the guests from the server itself and migrated them to other servers.

I migrated it out of the server pool and into the Unassigned Servers folder.

But if If I click on the server pool it used to be in I see:

File Servers: Local FS ovs4.mydomain.com, Local FS ovs5.mydomain.com

The one I want to blow away entirely is ovs5
I right clicked on the servers in the Unassigned Servers tab and then tried to press the "delete" entry. Verified I wanted to delete it but it gave me some error about the pool it used to be in.

-------
Here is the error I receive:
Are you sure you want to delete?
ovs5.mydomain.com

Click OK

OVMRU_002041E Cannot delete/remove pool file system: Pool filesystem for MY_POOL. Server pool: MY_POOL, still has servers in it

-------------

I do have other servers in the pool with running guests.

My question: What is the correct way to remove this entirely from the OVM eco-system. It will never go back into it in the future.

Thanks for any help.
