PROCESSES value on Windows 2000 Server

Does anyone know what an "ideal" (or, suitable) value is for the PROCESSES parameter for a single db on Windows 2000? I am receiving a "dedicated server process" error, and this may be a symptom of the PROCESSES parameter being set too low.
