Hi we have a goldengate we use for testing and sometimes extracts were stopped for days.
Each time we need to start them for using, I issue:
alter extract XXXXXX, begin now, etrollover
However when I check with detail, the extract says its reading log from the last day it was stopped, and takes lot time to reach current date.
May be I'm misunderstanding the function of "begin now" clause.
Can you say me what should I do in order to point my extracts to begin reading log exaclty "in this moment".
