Problems with SID

Hey, I'm a student from Belgium.

Last year we had an exam Pl/SQL that we performed in the Sql-worksheet of oracle. Relieved after succeeding I deinstalled oracle9i from my home computer that runs on WinXP. With surprise I've noticed that this year we have DBA. So I wanted to reinstall oracle 9i with the same SID.
I got this message "Ihe SID you specified already exits on this machine. Please enter a different SID." The problem is that I need that specific SID , how can I delete this SID from my computer and re-use it afterwards ?
