843798Sep 19 2005 — edited Feb 28 2007My Problem is this the day after i installed J2SE Java quit working with a red X in the corner of all applets.I checked the help article pertaining to RED X.Did what it told me EXACTLY as it told me.DID NOT worked so i reinstalled and installing worked.but not java applets. So i did a restore to when it did work.STILL DIDN"T WORK!!!.so i checked some sites including this one.And was advise to uniunstall and then reinstall.WELL thats when the problem got worse install told me this word for word. It tells me This " You already have this version of the JRE installed. Please Uninstall the product through your add/remove progrms utility before reinstalling." So i went to Add/Remove programs to uninstall and got this message " You already have this version of the JRE installed. Please Uninstall the product through your add/remove progrms utility before reinstalling." so now ive been restoring and rolling back and deleting this and that.Including all instance of java.and still have the same problem.
