Problems Installing Solaris any version
807559May 5 2008 — edited Jan 22 2009Folks, I already post this issue in another forum, anyway, I have been trying to install Solaris 10 in my Ultra 10 Machine, I want to tell that my machine had running Solaris 9 but I both a brand-new Hard Drive and a brand-new DVD-R just to install a brand-new Solaris 10 :-)
Anyway, the installations did well but after the first boot my Machine didnt starts Solaris (any version I tried to install Solaris 8 and I got the same problem)
Stops over here:
Boot device: disk File and args:
SunOS Release 5.8 Version Generic_108528-01 64-bit

-
Therefore, just to certify that I dont have any DVD problems I tried to install OpenBSD 4.2 and the installation did well and the system starts very well too. So, after that I just format my Hard Drive again and start to install Solaris one more time, and of course same problem. Someone could help me in this NOVEL :-)
I use some diagnose comands to check where the boot process stops, following bellow:
ok probe-ide
