Problems installing Plug-In on Netscape 4.08

Hello,

Firstly, thankyou for taking the time to read this topic and I hope that someone will be able to shed some light on the problem we are having.

I have a user who is using Netscape? Navigator 4.08 and cannot view a 'course explorer' applet that has been written to utilise a Java plug-in. Under their installation of IE on the same PC, it works fine after downloading and installing the plug-in.

However, when the page is loaded in Netscape, it asks the user to download the plug-in. We have downloaded and installed the JR 1.3.1_01 Plug-In, but when we return to the page, we continue to see the light blue image which indicates that the browser cannot find the plug-in installed.

We have tried both shutting down and re-opening the browser, as well as restarting their workstation.

Any suggestions?
