Problems in connecting to the data mining server

Hi,
I am unable to connect to the database using ODM version 10.1.2. since i keep on getting the 'Cannot connect to the specified data mining sever. Check connection settings' error

I am using a 10g v 1.2 database and have patched the database and the data mining server. I have also run the scripts to create a new odm user with the specified grants and tablespaces.

When i logon the database using sqlplus there is a 'TRUE' value for the parameter 'Data Mining' . Other than that i am also able to connect using odm/odm <username/password> in sqlplus and can see the tablespaces there for odm and have replaced the jar file for the database with the one used in the data miner.

Any help for this post would be gladly taken.
