Problems deleting a server pool

733736Nov 11 2009 — edited Oct 11 2013
Hi,

we are having some problems when deleting a server pool from the Oracle VM Manager. We've tried with versions 2.1.5 and 2.2.0. Below I explain the problem:

We got a Server Pool HA_1 and we associated 2 machines:
- vmserver01: as utility server, server pool master and vm server
- vmserver02: as vm server

We removed this Server Pool from the Manager by using the Server Pool Tab, and looking to the Server Tab, both related machines (vmserver01, vmserver02) have disappeared/deleted (we guess this is the correct functionality).

We find the problem when creating a new Server Pool (i.e. HA_PRODUCTION) and adding one of the above "theorically deleted" machines (vmserver01 or vmserver02, doesn't matter which, and we tried without reinstalling the machine and reinstalling the machine), where we get the following error:

OVM-3001 The Oracle VM server (vmserver01.pic.es) already exists, please use another Oracle VM server.

By accessing to the Oracle Database, we see that both machines are existing in the ovs.OVS_SERVER table but on the other hand, the old Server Pool (HA_1) contained in the ovs.OVS_SITE table is not existing anymore.

How to fix it? Is this a bug? Is there any restriction when deleting Server Pools?

Thanks in advance.
