Problem with Solaris 9 x86 with LSISAS 1068.
807559Jul 10 2008 — edited Aug 4 2008I am facing a problem in Solaris. Actually I am a newbie in Solaris.
I need to install a Solaris 9 32 bit with LSISAS1068 driver.
The Hardware that I have is Dell Optiplex755.
Now I downloaded the driver from LSI website.
http://www.lsi.com/storage_home/products_home/standard_product_ics/sas_ics/lsisas1068/index.html?remote=1&locale=EN
now from here I downloaded the LSISAS1068 driver which is the common driver for Solaris 8,9 & 10.
Now for my work I need to have an ITU image to be installed through a floppy.
I am confused about a few things .
1. Is the uncompressed file ...the required ITU image to be installed using a floppy drive??
2. If not, how to prepare a floppy image from the uncompressed file.??
In the readme file along with the download,
http://www.lsi.com/support/downloads/hbas/sas/software_drivers/other/Solaris_X86_ReadMe.txt
in section 3.0 ( Installing the Driver in an New System), I could not locate the file itmpt-x86-XXX-itu.dd which is talked about there.
Through DD i can copy the ITU image to floopy drive, but how to get the ITU image itself??
Please help with the steps. I am really stuck up.
