Hi,

It seems that my last command don't work? Newest entry returned from "last" is from  Mar  6 23:20, but /var/adm/wtmpx is still getting modified as seen from the time stamp.

My /var is at 87% permission are as expected as below.

]# ls -l /var/adm/utmp*

-rw-r--r--   1 root     bin         8928 Oct 11 02:47 /var/adm/utmpx

# ls -l /var/adm/wtmp*

-rw-r--r--   1 adm      adm      3972589 Oct 11 03:05 /var/adm/wtmpx

what could be the reason for above issue .Please help.

Solaris 8 2/02 s28s_u7wos_08a SPARC

Thanks

Antony
