Problem with JVM not running on win 98
843804Jan 27 2004 — edited Jan 29 2004I have instaled and uninstalled 3 times now the Java Virtual Machine using internet instal and manual install but I get the same thing every time.
When I go to run a app. from a visted web site I get a red X or a box popsup and tells me that I need to install the application which I have done. When I go to Sun and try ti install it tells me that JVM is installed but when I run a test It gives me a red X and sugestions to cure it but no help,
I'm running win98 and Ie6.? browser. I have went threw all the FAQs and still have the problem. Java is inabled and Ie is set to automaticly configure proxy. I have tried the manual config but still no help.
If any one has any ideas at all I would apreciate a hand.
