Problem with Import Data Dictionary

1044289Sep 30 2013 — edited Oct 2 2013

Hi,

I'm just trying out SQL Data Modeler and am quite impressed by it so far ... BUT .. I have one problem that I don't seem to be able to get around.

I'm trying to Import a Data Dictionary from an Oracle database. I've set up the connection and that seems to work ok, and am logging on as the owner of the schema that I'm interested in reverse engineering. However, when I go through the wizard to the point where I should be able to select which objects to import I can't see any tables or views (NB I am logging on as the owner of these objects - I've checked in dba_tables). I can see synonyms, users, roles & various tables spaces - just no tables or views!

I've noticed that other folk have posted similar problems before but there never seems to be an answer posted - apologies if I have missed them.

I would be very grateful for any assistance, if I can't solve this I fear we may have to remain with another data modelling tool that is more expensive and doesn't support Barker Notation (which I happen to like).

Regards,

John Quick
